MYSBN (Malaysian Yunus Social Business Network) was established in 2016, its founding members are myHarapan, Institut Darul Ridzuan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Petronas and Universiti Sains Malaysia to synergise social business research and advocacy efforts among multi-stakeholders. 

The network is responsible for the declaration of Ipoh as the 5th Social Business City, endorsed and witnessed by Prof. Muhammad Yunus. Joint efforts include the development of a Social Business Incubator,co-authoring a Social Business Book for Malaysia, Social Business Competitions and curriculum development for Institutes of Higher Learnings. 

The network believes that the best way to make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives is to empower communities to bring about the change that they want to see. Their goal is to make social entrepreneurship, and in particular, social business, mainstream in all institutions of learning, providing a safe hub for our youths to ideate and implement good social solutions and be recognized for their efforts.
